Choosing a KuKirin replacement tyre starts with the scooter in front of you: its exact model, fitted wheel and complete tyre markings. A familiar model name or an advertised wheel diameter alone is not enough. Use the checklist below before adjusting pressure or ordering a tyre, inner tube or complete wheel.

How to find the correct KuKirin tyre size

Photograph the model label, both tyre sidewalls and the valve. Copy every size marking exactly, including any second size code. Check whether your scooter still has its original wheels; a previous owner's conversion can make a model-based search misleading.

Record the following information before browsing KuKirin spare parts:

Check What to record
Scooter identity Full model name, version and identifying label.
Tyre markings Complete size code, construction markings and pressure limits.
Wheel position Front or rear, including whether it contains a motor.
Air system Confirmed tube-type or tubeless construction; valve shape and clearance.
Part supplied Outer tyre, inner tube, valve or complete wheel assembly.

Tyre and rim dimensions must agree, and width and clearance also matter. Tyre manufacturer Schwalbe explains these compatibility principles; its bicycle tables do not establish KuKirin fitment. Ask for confirmation of the exact scooter part rather than assuming two tyres with the same advertised diameter are interchangeable.

What tyre pressure should a KuKirin use?

Use the recommendation for your exact model, version and fitted tyre-and-wheel combination. The KuKirin G2 operation manual requires a pressure check before riding, but its English section does not provide a numerical inflation target. A pressure quoted for another KuKirin model does not fill that gap.

  1. Find the applicable manual or obtain a confirmed recommendation from support.
  2. Read the fitted tyre's limits and check any wheel manufacturer's restrictions. Resolve conflicting instructions before inflation.
  3. Measure with a pressure gauge while the tyres are cold, before riding. Match the gauge's units to the recommendation.
  4. Adjust to the confirmed setting, replace the valve cap and record the reading for each wheel.

A sidewall maximum is not automatically your operating target. Michelin's tyre-care guidance distinguishes a maximum pressure marking from a vehicle recommendation and advises cold checks. These are general measurement principles, not a KuKirin pressure specification.

Check pressure loss before buying a replacement

Keep a short record: date, cold front and rear readings, confirmed target and any visible damage. If one tyre repeatedly loses pressure, arrange an inspection rather than continuing to top it up and ride. Photograph cuts, bulges, valve damage or uneven seating without dismantling the wheel. That evidence helps support identify what needs replacing.

Tyre compatibility questions

Does an inner tube fit every tyre of the same diameter?

No. Confirm its full supported size range, valve type and valve clearance for the fitted wheel. Do not order a tube for a tubeless assembly without confirmation that this use is permitted.

Can I install wider or solid tyres?

Seek explicit approval for that conversion and wheel combination before purchasing. A tyre that can be pushed onto a rim is not proof of compatibility.

What should I send when asking for help?

Send the identification details and photographs listed above to KuKirin support. For the wider ordering process, use our spare-parts selection guide.
